"Hidden Treasures"
A series of works inspired by the Australian bush
These include a range or multi-dimensional pleated scarves and shawls that can be worn in a variey of ways, really enhanced by the sculptural qualities of fabric and fibre. The colours captured within the pleats are symbolic of the gems that we discover when we look below the surface, indicative of the Australian psyche. We need to take the time to look beyond the harshness of the exterior to find the flashes of brilliance and the qualities that lie beneath.
Gum Blossom Shawl
Employing traditional block printing techniques on fine georgette fabrics to capture the imperminance of the seasons. These shawls and scarves aim to capture the lightness and fun of gum blossom and their marking of the seasons
